Positive Pay Process

This process will create a positive pay file for a selected check book and send the file to the bank.

 Positive Pay information must be setup in the Check Book Master for the check book the file is to be created for.

Positive Pay Setup

NAVIGATION: CHECK PROCESSING menu > Positive Pay Process

  1. Check Book ID: enter or select a valid Check Book ID for the process.
  2. Description: Displays the Description for the check book selected for the process.
  3. Account#: Displays the Account Number entered in the Check Book Master for the selected check book.
  4. File Location: Will display the Pospay Path setup in the Check Book Master for the selected check book.
  5. File Name: Enter a name for the file that will be sent to the bank using the FTP Address entered in the Check Book Master for the check book.
  6. Encrypted File: View or enter the Encrypted File information.
  7. Send File: The Send File button will send the file to the ftp address setup for the check book after it has been created and encrypted.
  8. Create and Encrypt: Press the Create and Encrypt button to generate the file and encrypt it for transmission.
  9. Encrypt Only: Press the Encrypt button to ONLY encrypt the file.
  10. When you post checks, the positive pay file will be created and submitted to the bank with the above information.

Resend Positive Pay File

This process is used to resend a positive pay file that was created and sent initially using the Positive Pay Process program.

NAVIGATION: CHECK PROCESSING menu > Positive Pay Process > Resend Positive Pay File

  1. Check Book ID: Enter or select a Check Book ID for the process.
  2. Description and Account#: The Description and Account # for the selected Check Book will be displayed.
  3. File Location: After a file has been selected, the location will be displayed.
  4. Encrypted File: Browse for and select the Encrypted File that is to be resubmitted.
  5. Send File: Press the Send File button to resend the positive pay file.
