How To Update Workstation for Annual Horizon Software Updates

As part of our annual maintenance, Horizon programs are updated with enhancements and bug fixes. After Horizon updates the software on your server, staff will need to run an update on their individual workstations before they can open Horizon programs.

Follow these steps to run the workstation update. 

  1. Double click any Horizon software icon.
    1. Only click on one program. Do not try to open more than one program.  This will often freeze the computer.
  2. This information dialog box will appear. Click OK.
  3. Depending on how your workstation is setup, you will be prompted as follows:
    1. Allow horizonclient.exe to install; click YES
    2. Enter the administrator password. If you do not know your administrator login information, contact your IT Department/staff.
  4. The Horizon Software Setup wizard will appear. Click NEXT.
  5. On the License Agreement step, select the option I AGREE TO THE TERMS OF THIS LICENSE AGREEMENT. Click NEXT.
  6. On the ready to install, click NEXT.
  7. The install will begin. After the installation is complete, click FINISH.
  8. Log into your Horizon programs as usual.
