
Project Master
This help file reviews how to setup a new project.
NAVIGATION: MAINTAIN menu > General Tables > Project Master
- Project Number
- Enter the new Project Number.
- Project numbers are five digits, i.e., V0001.
- Name: type the Project Name.
- MAIN TAB
- In the GENERAL INFORMATION, select a Program Type, Subsidy Type, and Payment Cycle. Typically, a Housing Authority has only one payment cycle, i.e., S801. A County Code is only needed if the Housing Authority serves more than one county. This is not a required field and may be left blank.
- In the CONTRACT INFORMATION section, enter the number of units in the project.
- The Program Utilization Report looks at this number to see how many vouchers have been authorized under this Project.
- Enter the Section 8 Contract Number, ACC Number, FHA/EH/NON number, vouchers from and to, and the expiration date.
- When the project is no longer active the "Inactive" box can be checked.
- INTERFUND SETUP TAB
- If you do not use interfunds, this information may be left blank. If unsure, PLEASE ASK THE ACCOUNTING DEPARTMENT.
- GENERAL LEDGER INTERFACE TAB
- Enter the General Ledger Account numbers for each type of payment.
- TIP: User can view other Projects to view the appropriate General Ledger accounts or ask the Accounting Department
- To view other Projects, SAVE the current Project information and select a different Project.
- After viewing the Project information, click the Clear All button, and reselect the new Project.
- PAYMENT STANDARDS/FMR TAB
- Payment Standards - Leave these fields blank unless this project will use different standards than those entered in Settings > Section 8 Management > Voucher Payment Standards
- Fair Market Rents – Leave these fields blank unless this project will use different fair market rent amounts than those entered in Settings > Section 8 Management > Fair Market Rents
- Click SAVE
- To view accuracy of the information entered, pull up the newly created project to review.
