Open a Batch of Certifications

Be sure to review the directions or contact the Horizon Help Desk prior to using this feature.

NAVIGATION: PROCESSES menu > Global Updates > Create Global Tasks

  1. Area Number: enter or select the area
  2. Community Number: enter or select the community
    1. A community cannot be selected if the Area Number was left blank.
  3. Select Date Fields to Compare: Check both of the following options:
    1. Next Re-Exam Date
    2. Next Flat Rent Review
  4. Enter or select a Start Date and End Date
    1. For example, if you wish to create certifications for tenants recertifying in September, enter 09/01/2022 and 09/30/2023
  5. Category Selection: select a Annual Reexam
  6. Auto Update Action and Dates: this box should be checked when opening a batch of certifications.
  7. Click START TASK CREATION
  8. The system will open the certifications.  Press OK
  9. When the process is complete, the system will find all tenants with a next reexam date within the specified date range.  The system will automatically edit the tenant master in several places:
    1. The Effective Date will be changed to 09/01/2022
    2. The Action will be changed to Annual Reexamination
    3. The Next Reexam Date will be changed to 09/01/2023
    4. The Last Reexam Date will be changed to 09/01/2022
    5. The system will create a task under Quick Link > Tenant Tasks
    6. A yellow box, with the words In Process, will appear on the Main screen of the Tenant Master.  This indicates that tasks need completed before the certification is completed.
