Income/Asset Codes

NAVIGATION: MAINTAIN menu > Income/Deduction Tables > Income/Asset Codes

  1. Class: enter or select a unique Class code
  2. Description: Enter a Description for the class. The description should be the name of the income or asset
  3. New Type: New Type options are used for 50058s. Select one of the New Type options:
    1. Pension
    2. Social Security
    3. SSI
    4. TANF
    5. General Assist
    6. Child Support
    7. Indian Trust
    8. Other Nonwage
    9. Own Business
    10. Military Pay
    11. Federal Wage
    12. Other Wage
    13. Unemp Benefit
    14. Asset Income
    15. HA Wage
    16. Imputed Welfare
    17. Medical Reimbursement
    18. No Income
  4. 59/1944 Type: 59/1944 types are used for 50059s. Select from the following options:
    1. Wages
    2. Social Security/Pension
    3. Publish Assistance
    4. Asset
    5. Other Income
  5. Default Address Information
    1. The default Source Name and Address information may be updated when used in the Income or Asset Worksheets as needed
    2. This information will merge into letters or forms that have been setup to do so
    3. The default address may be left blank if this information will be entered in the Income or Asset Worksheet every time the class is used
  6. Letter Interface: Link Letters Into Income/Asset Codes
    1. Letter Interface section (bottom left)
    2. In the TENANT MANAGEMENT field, select the letter code to associate with the income/asset code selected.
    3. Letters can also be linked to Section 8, Online Applications, and Waiting List.
    4. Click SAVE
    5. Check the Unduplicated box if the form or letter is not to be duplicated
  7. Auto Ded/Excl option: The default is Not Applicable. Select from the options:
    1. Not Applicable
    2. Auto Exclusion
    3. Auto Deduction
    4. <Undefined>
  8. Section 8 Specific Code
    1. If this class will only be used in the Section 8 module, place a check mark in the Section 8Specific Code box
    2. When checked, this class will not be available in the other housing modules.
  9. Tenant Management Specific Code
    1. If this class will only be used in the Tenant Management module, place a check mark in the Tenant Management Specific Code box
    2. When checked, this class will not be available in the other housing modules.
  10. Enabled for Online Application
    1. Place a check mark in the box if the type should be used in Online Applications.
  11. Click SAVE
