Applicant Attachments

NOTE: In the Horizon software module, open the program that has the Attachment tab.  For example, the Vendor Master or the Employee Master. Documents may be added or scanned into the software.

Add a Document

  1. Within the Applicant file, go to the Attachments tab.
  2. Press the ADD button to open the Document Additions screen.
  3. Press the BROWSE button next to Directory field and highlight the directory/folder where your file is located. Press OK. The list of available files will be displayed in the grid on the bottom left of this screen.
  4. Single click the file you want to add from the listed files in the grid.
  5. Under Location/Document Type on the left side of the screen, select a Category.
  6. On the right side of the screen under Details you can change the document title, date and add comments.
  7. Press the ADD DOCUMENT button on the Quick Links Bar at the top of the Document Additions screen.
  8. Press OK once the document is added.
  9. Close the Document Additions screen.
  10. You are done and the document should be showing in the Attachment tab grid.

Scan a Document

  1. Within the Applicant file, go to the Attachment tab.
  2. Press the SCAN button to open the Scan Documents screen.
  3. Under Document Type on the left side of the screen, select a Category.
  4. On the bottom left of the screen under Details fill in the Document Title.  You may also change the Document Date and add Comments.
    1. Press Use Document Feeder and/or Use Duplex box if either of these apply to the current scan.
      1. If this is a legal sized document, or a document that contains a legal page, check the Enable Advanced Selections box.
  5. Press the SCAN DOCUMENT button on the Quick Links bar at the top of the Scan Documents screen
    1. NOTE:  If you checked Enable Advanced Selections, the scanner settings dialog box will pop up.  (Please be aware, these settings will vary depending on your scanner.)  Your settings should give an option for something like "Scan Size" or "Paper Size or Type".  For a packet or single page that is all legal, select legal.  For a mixed packet with different paper sizes containing Letter and Legal, select Entire Scan Area.
    2. Press SCAN.
    3. Press DONE.
  6. Press the SAVE DOCUMENT button on the Quick Links bar at the top of the Scan Documents screen
  7. Close the Scan Documents screen
  8. You are done and the document should be showing in the Attachment tab grid.

Work with Documents

  1. Within the Applicant file, go to the Attachment tab.
  2. Under Selections, you may select a Category and a range of dates to reduce the number of documents on your list if desired.
  3. Once you locate the document, single click to view it on the right side of the screen.
  4. You can left or right click on the document to enlarge or reduce the size.
  5. You can also EMAIL the document by clicking the Email icon shown below.
  6. You can double click the document to open it as a PDF file (or Excel, Word, etc.)
    1. From your PDF program, you can print, rotate, Email, etc.
  7. If you want to delete the document, single click it and press the red X as shown in the picture above.
