Issue a Voucher Using the HCV Form

NOTE: Vouchers may also be issued using an Action Code. See Issue a Voucher Using an Action Code.

NAVIGATION: ACTIVITIES menu > Applicant Master

  1. Make sure that Filter Status at the top is set to Active.
  2. Select the Application For.
    1. The program may default to the correct Application For or use the browse button to select one.
  3. Skip the Tracking Number field.
  4. Enter the Applicant's Last Name and SELECT.
  5. Go to Quick Link and select Custom Forms and Letters.
  6. Check the box beside Housing Choice Voucher (on the left side of screen).
  7. The Letter Date, to the right, will default to the current date and will be the date the voucher is issued in the letter.  This date may be changed.
  8. Click the PRINT button.
  9. Check the box beside the Section 8 list and press the CONTINUE button.
  10. Assign a Project and Voucher Number using the browse buttons for each field and press OK.
    1. If your authority does not assign a Project or Voucher Number, press OK to continue without selecting them.
  11. Click the START button to print the letter.
    1. The system will automatically create an Action Code 10 (Voucher Issued)) and a 50058
  12. Print the 50058.
    1. If the 50058-error view is displayed, the errors must be fixed or the 50058 will not be correct.
  13. After printing the 50058, close the Letter Merge screen.
  14. A yellow informational box will be displayed at the bottom of the Main tab view and will display the Voucher Issued Date and the Voucher Expiration Date.
  15. Click SAVE and close the Applicant Master.
