Setup Service Codes

Please do not setup new Service Codes without permission from an Administrator.

NAVIGATION: MAINTAIN menu > Service Codes

  1. Enter a new unique Service Code
    1. Existing Service Codes may be reviewed to see current code setup.  
    2. Keep Service Code setup consistent when entering a new code.
    3. Most codes are four characters in length.
    4. Codes may be alpha or numeric.  Horizon recommends numeric.
  2. Enter a Description for the Service Code
  3. Work Units and Time Unit may be left blank, unless your organization is tracking how long it takes to complete the service.
    1. If your organization would like to track those units, please contact Horizon to discuss.
  4. A Billing Code may be entered after consulting with the accounting department.
  5. Browse for a Unit Tracking Code to apply.
    1. If no codes exist, please contact Horizon for assistance.
  6. Inactive should remain unchecked during setup of a new code.
  7. Select the Service Code Class.  Options are:
    1. Custodian
    2. Mechanic
    3. Technician
  8. Enter the Standard Bill amount for this Service Code.
    1. When the Service Code is billed, the system will automatically use this Standard Bill amount.
  9. Click SAVE.
