Issue a Voucher Using an Action Code

NOTE: Vouchers may also be issued and recorded using the Housing Choice Voucher form found under Quick Link > Custom Forms and Letters. See Issue a Voucher Using the HCV Form.

NAVIGATION: ACTIVITIES menu> Applicant Master

  1. Select the Application For.
    1. The program may default to the correct Application For or use the BROWSE button to select one
  2. Skip the Tracking Number field.
  3. Enter the Applicant's Last Name and SELECT.
  4. The information tabs are listed from left to right below the name fields. Find and select the tab labeled ACTIONS.
  5. Click the ADD ACTION ITEM button.
  6. Select Voucher Issued as the Action Code using the BROWSE button.
    1. If the code does not exist, please contact the Horizon Help Desk for assistance.
  7. After selecting the Voucher Issued code, a Date Issued field will appear.  Enter the date the voucher will be issued. If using the drop down calendar, double click on the desired date.
  8. Check the box beside the appropriate Section 8 list.
  9. Click SAVE in the bottom right corner.
    1. After the SAVE button is pressed, the system will generate the Voucher Issued 50058 (Code 10).
    2. Print the 50058, if applicable.
  10. After printing or not printing the 50058, the system will return to the Actions tab.  A Voucher Issued code will be displayed in the Actions grid.
  11. The information tabs are listed from left to right below the name fields. Find and select the Main Tab.
  12. At the bottom of the view, users will see a yellow information box will display the Voucher Issued. Date and the Voucher Expired Date.
  13. Click SAVE and close the Application Master.
