Inspection Settings

Go to Settings>>Inspection Settings

This program is used to setup and maintain tracking, data paths and other information entered to control how the program works.

Inspector Defaults

Inspect1 - Inspect10

Enter the names of the inspectors on the lines.  Leave the extra lines blank.  The system will handle up to 10 inspectors.  The numbers will be their handheld number.

Last Unit Number

This field displays the last inspection number used in the Inspection Master.  The system will track/update this number as inspections are entered or pulled.

PHA Code

Enter the PHA code assigned by HUD in this area.

Void Inspections Only - NO Deletes

When a checkmark is shown in this box, the program will not allow Inspection Information in the Inspection Master to be deleted.  Inspections will have to be voided to remove them from the active information.

Network Inspection Path

Enter the network path to the Inspection data.

For Example:

H:\HorizonSoftware\data\C001

Public Housing Path

Enter the network path to the Public Housing data.

For Example:

H:\HorizonSoftware\data\C001

Section 8 Path

Enter the network path to the Section 8 data.

For Example:

H:\HorizonSoftware\data\C001

Image Path

Enter the network path to where scanned images are to be saved/stored.

For Example:

H:\HorizonSoftware\images

Special Dictionary Items

Using Dictionary for Smoke Detectors

If this box is checked, the Smoke Detectors section in the Inspection Master on the Other Inspection tab will not be available.  Smoke Detectors will be an inspectable dictionary item.

Using Dictionary for Condition of Unit

If this box is checked, the Condition of Unit section in the Inspection Master on the Other Inspection tab will not be available.  Condition of Unit will be an inspectable dictionary item.

Using Dictionary for Housekeeping

If this box is checked, the Housekeeping section in the Inspection Master on the Other Inspection tab will not be available.  Housekeeping will be an inspectable dictionary item.

Report Formats

Public Housing Unit

During implementation of the software module, the Inspection Form format number for Public Housing will be entered.  This number should not be changed unless instructed by Horizon personnel.

Section 8

During implementation of the software module, the Inspection Form format number for Section 8 will be entered.  This number should not be changed unless instructed by Horizon personnel.

Building/Site Format

During implementation of the software module, the Inspection Form format number for buildings and sites will be entered.  This number should not be changed unless instructed by Horizon personnel.

Report Information

PHA Name

For reporting/submission purposes, enter the Public Housing Authority's name in this field.

County

For reporting/submission purposes, enter the name of the county in which the Public Housing Authority resides.

Work Order Interface (1)

Initial Inspections; Annual Inspections and Move-Out Inspections

Passed Category

Select a Category Code that is to serve as the default Work Order Category for a passed initial inspection that may need a work order generated.

Description

Enter a description for the initial inspection passed category.

Failed Category

Select a Category Code that is to serve as the default Work Order Category for a failed initial inspection that may need a work order generated.

Description

Enter a description for the initial inspection failed category.

Work Order Interface (2)

Quality Control Inspections and Special Inspections

Passed Category

Select a Category Code that is to serve as the default Work Order Category for a passed quality control inspection that may need a work order generated.

Description

Enter a description for the quality control passed category.

Failed Category

Select a Category Code that is to serve as the default Work Order Category for a failed quality control inspection that may need a work order generated.

Description

Enter a description for the quality control failed category.

Inspection Information

Print Inspection to File

A checkmark in this field indicates that the inspection will print and save to a file.

Other Inspection Settings

Work Item Code

Select a default Work Order Service Code .

Set Time Requested  (Blank will use current system time)

Enter a default time requested in a hh:mm format and indicate A or P for am or pm.  If this field is left blank, the system will use the current time as the Time Requested.

Bedroom Setup

Bedroom Code

Select a default bedroom code from the Inspectable Areas (Rooms) browse.

Section 8 Interface

Auto Create 50058

Enter a checkmark in the box if the system should automatically create a 50058 for Section 8 inspections.

Public Housing

Inspection Header Information

Header Line 1 - 5

For any merge letter/form, enter the Authority's name, address and phone information to be used as merge fields for letterheads.  The header information can be used on any form, it does not have to be a public housing letter/form.
 

Other Settings

Retain Room Setup

Check the Retain Room Setup box to have programs retain this information.

Calendar Settings

Options

Enable Outlook Integration

Place a checkmark in this field to have the module integrate with user's outlook calendar.

Duration (S8)

Enter the default appointment time for Section 8.

Duration (TM)

Enter the default appointment time for Tenant Management.

Work Starting Time

Enter the default time that Inspectors would begin a normal work day in a hh:mm format.

Work Ending Time

Enter the default time that inspectors would end a normal work day in a hh:mm format.
